Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in public procurement.
Public sector organizations are increasingly required to take climate, environment and responsible supply chains into account when purchasing goods and services. To do this, they need more structured information from their suppliers.
This means that companies participating in tenders must increasingly be able to document how they work with sustainability.
The EU has therefore developed the VSME standard - a common European format for sustainability reporting for small and medium-sized companies. The standard makes it easier for customers, banks, investors and public authorities to request and understand relevant sustainability information.
When companies are able to document this in a structured way, it becomes easier for clients to assess suppliers and compare offers.
Developed in line with the VSME standard, Kimaa makes it easier for companies to collect and structure this information.
